Peoples Bank, Lebanon, Kentucky was chartered on September 10, 1910 in Gravel Switch, Kentucky to serve the financial needs of a rural community. The bank was capitalized with $18,500.00 in Capital and Surplus and John E. Isaacs was named Cashier to manage the bank's operations. Mr. Isaacs served the bank as Cashier from 1910 to 1919. Following Mr. Isaacs were Leslie Lanham Cashier from 1919 to 1944, L. D. Sweazy Cashier from 1944 to 1952, Doyle Crenshaw Cashier from 1952 to 1965, Carl D. Roller Cashier & Executive Vice President 1965 to 1986, Rodney Lanham President 1986 to 1989, Patsy Gribbins President 1989 to 1991, William D. McCrosky President & Ceo 1991 to 2009 and Bobby Miles 2009 – present

In the early years of operation, Peoples Bank was subject to the threat of robbery because of its rural location. The bank has been successfully robbed three times with the most famous robbery being conducted by John Dillinger in 1933.

For 90 years Peoples Bank has been a Kentucky owned chartered community bank providing traditional deposit, loan and other banking services to Marion and surrounding counties. Peoples Bank is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
